HOSPITAL STOPS

Hospital stops are used in hospitals worldwide.  Hospitals must always be kept clean for sanitary reasons. Using hospital stops will reduce dust accumulation where the frame touches the floor.  They are available in 45 or 90 degree angles depending on the architect's discretion. Diagram A is an illustration of the 45 degree hospital stop and diagram B is one of a  90 degree hospital stop.

LEAD LINED FRAMES

Lead lined frames (also known as X-Ray frames) are used for rooms containing X-Ray machines or radioactive materials.  Because these frames are lined with lead harmful radiation will not pass through the frame.  These frames are available fully lined with lead (Diagram C) or half lined with lead (diagram D).  Two models are available because at times there is radiation on both sides of the frame and at other times there is only radiation on one side.  This provides the architect with a more cost efficient frame when only one side of protection is needed.
